-Practice Insights: Summary & Quick description of all Dashboards

Practice Insights is a Business Intelligence tool for a Dental Business, providing an up to date graphical interpretation of the Business Analysis related to different aspects of your dental practice from the data stored within D4Web.

Practice Insights ONLY reads data from within D4Web, it DOES NOT change any patient data, categories, statistical information etc.

Quick Information & requirements

  1. The Practice Insights security settings will determine if the user can see the menu items & access the dashboards. Data access to the each dashboard is controlled by Security SuperGroups.

  2. The Practice insights Dashboards are found via the navigation menu > Management > Insights page

  3. The default dashboard is The Overview

  4. The information mceclip0.png icon on the top right-hand corner provides a summary of the graphs within the current dashboard and information on when the data was last loaded/updated for each chart

  5. Click mceclip0.png icon to export data from a dashboard as pdf, image or excel 

  6. There are date range, location and provider filters available in each dashboard (excl: Overview)  mceclip0.png

  7. View the underlying data by clicking on a section on any of the chart in each dashboard mceclip0.png

  8. After a period of inactivity the Insights dashboard will expiremceclip0.png

There are 8 dashboards available

  1. Overview Dashboard: A dashboard to provide all users with a quick status quo of the practice. This dashboard is an overall representation of the status of the practice across all providers.

  2. Clinician Production and Patients Treated Dashboard: A dashboard to provide clinicians with information relevant to their daily operations. Information includes production totals per day, per hour and by patient, overall number of patients & new patients treated.

  3. Clinician Appointments and Utilisation Dashboard: A dashboard to provide clinicians with operational information relevant to their daily operations. Information includes utilisation of chairs, Lost revenue due to no scheduled appointments within available slots and average treatment v waiting times.

  4. Clinician Treatment Plans and Service Mix Dashboard: A dashboard to provide clinicians with operational information relevant to their daily operations. Information includes treatment plan acceptance, completion & active, items used totals via $ value, % and count.

  5. Practice Administration Dashboard: A dashboard to provide reception and administrative users with information relevant to their daily operations. Information includes number of New versus Existing patients treated, reappointed, recall appointments, cancellations, payment types, discounts & collections

  6. Management – Patients Dashboard: A dashboard to provide practice managers and owners with management level information about their practice. Information includes recall numbers booked, comparisons of sent recall versus recalls booked, new patients versus number of lapsed patients (not seem for 18mths), New Patients minus Lapsed Patients, gender ratio, referral types

  7. Management – Appointment and Financial Dashboard: A dashboard to provide practice managers and owners with management level information about their practice. Information includes appointment cancellations by count and %, rebooking %, debts & payment collection, gross versus net production comparisons and chair use %.

  8. Online Appointments: A dashboard to provide the users with a comprehensive overview of the practice’s online bookings. Information includes online vs. offline (in person or via phone) booking comparisons, online booking trends, new vs. existing status and demographical information on the patients who book online, and online appointment analysis by time and booking reasons.
